MK Metals Ltd is delighted to announce that they have been awarded the architectural metalwork package for the London Borough of Haringey, Remington Road.

​

This project will deliver 46 new homes for affordable rent for the Council on the site of existing garages in Tottenham.

​

The scheme will be developed with 31 apartments, 4 maisonettes, and 11 townhouses (including 4 wheelchair adapted homes) with associated amenity space, refuse/ recycling, and cycle storage facilities for 84 bicycles.

The project includes the reconfiguration of Remington Road into a one-way street, 7 parking spaces, a new public square, a communal courtyard and a children’s play space. 63 new trees will be planted as part of the redevelopment.

The new homes will be built with 81% savings in carbon emissions through a combination of fabric energy efficiency and renewable technology measures.  

All the new homes are designed to maximise natural light and include air source heat pumps to provide space heating and hot water. PV panels on the roof will provide a renewable source of electricity.
