Project Summary:  Comprehensive package of structural and architectural metalwork as part of the expansion of a countryside holiday park

MKMetals Ltd was appointed to design, fabricate, and install a comprehensive package of structural and architectural metalwork as part of the expansion of a countryside holiday park.

The project included the construction of a new steel-framed clubhouse extension, external staircases, balcony systems, and covered walkways serving multiple holiday lodges. In addition, MKMetals delivered bespoke metal balustrades, access ramps compliant with accessibility regulations, and decorative entrance gates to the park’s main arrival point.

All exposed metalwork was hot-dip galvanised and polyester powder-coated in a dark green finish to blend sympathetically with the surrounding landscape.

Balustrade systems were designed with anti-climb considerations and compliant guarding heights, ensuring safety for families while maintaining clear views across the park.

The steel canopy structures incorporated integrated guttering and drainage systems to manage rainfall effectively in a coastal environment. Walkway decks were supported by structural steel frames designed to withstand high footfall and seasonal usage demands.

Working within an operational holiday park required careful programming to minimise disruption to guests. Off-site fabrication allowed efficient installation, reducing on-site working time and maintaining a safe environment throughout the construction period.

The completed works provide durable, low-maintenance, and visually cohesive metalwork solutions that enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the holiday park, supporting long-term operational performance.
