As balconies continue to be an integral architectural feature across residential and mixed-use developments, MK Metals Ltd provide fully engineered balcony solutions as part of an integrated metalwork package. Our scope covers design development, structural support steelwork, individual balcony components, balustrades, decking systems, and full installation on site.

MKMetals Ltd design, manufacture, and install fully engineered balcony systems for residential, retail, and commercial developments. Our balcony solutions are suitable for both new-build and refurbishment projects and are developed to accommodate site-specific constraints, structural interfaces, and installation sequencing.

Our balcony structures and associated steelwork are designed and fabricated in accordance with BS EN 1090, with execution class defined to suit the project requirements. Balcony balustrades and guarding systems are designed and installed to meet the requirements of BS 6180: Barriers in and about Buildings, ensuring compliance with loadings, safety criteria, and height regulations.

Stainless steel balconies, glass infill systems, and Juliet balconies are engineered to current Building Regulations, with careful consideration given to imposed loads, fixings, deflection limits, drainage, and durability in exposed environments. Materials and finishes are selected to suit corrosion categories in line with BS EN ISO 12944, ensuring long-term performance.

Our structural glass balustrade systems are designed to deliver clear sightlines while meeting required load and impact performance. Systems are available with glass face-fixed to support plates or retained within continuous channel sections, engineered to comply with relevant standards including BS 6180 and BS EN 1991 loading requirements.

Associated elements such as handrails, edge protection, and canopies are fully integrated into the balcony design, ensuring a coordinated metalwork package. All fabrication is carried out to tight tolerances, with installation undertaken by experienced site teams to ensure compliance, quality, and programme certainty.
