Architectural Metalwork - Watts Close

MKMetals Ltd was chosen to supply architectural metalwork, including balconies, railings, balustrades, and more, for the project at Watts Close.

This project aligned with Haringey Council's innovative approach to developing a new wave of council housing for the community, emphasizing the use of borough-owned land for these initiatives.

The redevelopment transformed an underutilized site, replacing 11 derelict bungalows and a community hall with 12 flats and six family homes intended for social rent. The new residential structures feature a mix of semi-detached and terraced designs, while the apartments are arranged in two distinct blocks.

The design intent was to ensure that the development blends seamlessly with the surrounding urban landscape, maintaining a scale and aesthetic that complements the existing neighbourhood.

Additionally, the project incorporated essential infrastructure upgrades, landscaping, and provisions for bicycle and waste storage.
