CONSTANCE COURT
We were engaged by Henley Homes to supply the structural steelwork and architectural metalwork, including balconies, structural and stair balustrade, railings and gates for the development of 51 one- and two-bedroom apartments located on York Road in London's prestigious Nine Elms area.
To optimize construction efficiency, Henley Homes opted for a top-down construction method, allowing for the simultaneous development of the lightweight cold-rolled frame superstructure alongside basement excavations and structures.
The site's constrained conditions, with boundary and party walls on all sides, presented significant challenges for the formation of a new basement.
However, by employing plunge columns and casting the podium level on grade to establish the base, the lightweight steel frame superstructure was able to commence without delay.
The superstructure progressed to level 3 while basement excavations were concurrently carried out.

BARNES VILLAGE
We were engaged by Henley Homes to provide architectural metalwork for the redevelopment of the Grade II listed Barnes Hospital site in Cheadle, Manchester.
The project aims create a total of 156 new residences, 39 apartments and 117 newly constructed family homes comprising two, three, and four bedrooms, with new townhouses integrated within and around the hospital building.
Due to the site's historic and listed status, our designs required careful consideration. The challenge was to thoughtfully incorporate architectural elements that would the hospital's restoration while ensuring that new features would not compromise the integrity of the original façade.
Barnes Village has received recognition in several prestigious national awards, including the esteemed Gold Award for Regeneration at the WhatHouse? Awards 2018, two International Awards for 2018/19, and 'Best New Development in the North' at the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards 2017.
