MKMetals Ltd was engaged by the main contractor, Minton Young, on behalf of BAOBAB Architects to deliver a sustainable and elegant solution for a prominent development in the Roedean area of Brighton, overlooking marina.

The project involved designing, engineering, fabricating, and installing staircases and expansive sea-facing terraces for two large properties.

This intimate development of two homes, perched on the cliffs above Brighton Marina, seamlessly integrates with its environment without being overly imitative.

The use of red brick, common in traditional Sussex architecture, is contextually relevant, while the champagne-colored surrounds echo the wall render of the nearby Roedean School.

Additionally, the building incorporates green features like enhanced insulation and air source heat pumps, aligning with Brighton Council’s sustainability goals.
